This Privacy Policy applies to Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes ("Application"), a Tagalog-language app for reading hugot lines, short stories, and quotes.
SHORT VERSION
Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes doesn't require an account. Your favorites and display preferences live in your browser's local storage — nothing personal is collected to use the app.
1. WHAT THIS APP DOES
Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes lets you browse categories of Tagalog quotes and short stories (e.g. love, drama, life lessons, scam-awareness stories) and save your favorite entries for later. You can customize the theme, font size, and font style. Some sections may require unlocking, which can be done by choosing to watch a short rewarded video that unlocks all sections for 30 minutes.
2. INFORMATION STORED BY THE APP
The following is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage) so it persists across visits, until you clear it yourself:
Quotes or stories you've marked as favorites
Your selected theme, font size, and font style preferences
The following is kept only in memory while the app is open and is never saved to storage — it resets automatically whenever you close or reload the app:
Which sections are temporarily unlocked (unlocks last 30 minutes after watching an ad)
None of this data is sent to us or to any server we operate. It stays on your device.
3. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION
Like most web and mobile apps, basic technical information may be collected automatically when you use Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes, including:
IP address
Device model and operating system
App/browser usage statistics
Crash reports
Date and time of use
Features and categories accessed within the app
Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes does not collect precise location information.
4. PERSONAL INFORMATION & ACCOUNTS
Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to browse content or save favorites.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes may use third-party services that collect information under their own privacy policies, including:
Google Play Services
Google AdMob
The rewarded-video "Watch Ad to Unlock" flow used to unlock all sections is served through an ad provider such as AdMob, which may collect information necessary to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.
6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be disclosed only:
When required by law
To comply with legal obligations
To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the app provider
To trusted service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. ad or analytics providers)
7. DATA RETENTION
Your saved favorites and display preferences remain in your browser's local storage until you clear your browser data or uninstall the app — they are not automatically erased. Section-unlock status exists only in memory and is lost the moment the app closes or reloads. Automatically collected technical information (Section 3) may be retained only as long as necessary for analytics, security, legal compliance, and service improvement.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover personal information from a child has been collected, it will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible.
9. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to help protect information handled by the app. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.
10. YOUR CHOICES
You can remove individual favorites at any time within the app. Clearing your browser's local storage or uninstalling the app will remove all saved favorites and preferences. Closing or reloading the app automatically resets any temporary section unlock. You can also stop all data collection by uninstalling the app (on mobile) or simply no longer visiting it (on web).
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. YOUR CONSENT
By using Pinoy - Hugot, Kwento, Quotes, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
