PRIVACY POLICY — LEARN JAVA

This Privacy Policy applies to the Learn Java application ("Application"), an interactive Java programming course provided as a set of self-paced lessons.
SHORT VERSION
Learn Java doesn't require an account. Your lesson progress, XP, and unlock status live in your browser session — nothing personal is collected to use the app.
1. WHAT THIS APP DOES
Learn Java is a self-paced Java programming course delivered as a set of interactive lessons, organized by difficulty (Beginner, Intermediate, Expert). As you complete lessons you earn XP, level up, and unlock further content — either by finishing the first lesson or, where offered, by choosing to watch a short rewarded video.
2. INFORMATION STORED BY THE APP
The following is stored locally in your browser (via sessionStorage) to power the app's core features, and is cleared when your browser session ends:
- Lessons you've completed
- Your XP total and current level
- Whether you've unlocked additional lessons via the rewarded-ad flow
None of this data is sent to us or to any server we operate — it stays on your device for the duration of your session.
3. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION
Like most web and mobile apps, basic technical information may be collected automatically when you use Learn Java, including:
- IP address
- Device model and operating system
- App/browser usage statistics
- Crash reports
- Date and time of use
- Features and lessons accessed within the app
Learn Java does not collect precise location information.
4. PERSONAL INFORMATION & ACCOUNTS
Learn Java does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to access lessons or track your progress.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Learn Java may use third-party services that collect information under their own privacy policies, including:
- Google Play Services
- Google AdMob
The rewarded-video "Watch Ad" flow used to unlock additional lessons is served through an ad provider such as AdMob, which may collect information necessary to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.
6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be disclosed only:
- When required by law
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the app provider
- To trusted service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. ad or analytics providers)
7. DATA RETENTION
Lesson progress, XP, and unlock status are stored only for the length of your browser session and are cleared when the session ends or you close the app. Automatically collected technical information (Section 3) may be retained only as long as necessary for analytics, security, legal compliance, and service improvement.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Learn Java is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover personal information from a child has been collected, it will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible.
9. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to help protect information handled by the app. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.
10. YOUR CHOICES
Because progress data lives only in your browser session, closing the app or clearing your session data resets it. You can also stop all data collection by uninstalling the app (on mobile) or simply no longer visiting it (on web).
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of Learn Java after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

By using Learn Java, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
