PRIVACY POLICY — WEEKLY BUDGET

This Privacy Policy applies to Weekly Budget ("Application"), a personal budgeting app for tracking weekly income and expenses.
SHORT VERSION
Weekly Budget doesn't require an account. Your budgets, transactions, and categories live in your browser's local storage — nothing personal is sent to us to use the app.
1. WHAT THIS APP DOES
Weekly Budget lets you set a weekly budget (with optional rollover of unused balance), log income and expense transactions with categories and notes, set up recurring expenses, and view spending breakdowns and insights across multiple budget books. Some sections may require unlocking, which can be done by choosing to watch a short rewarded video; unlocking future weeks may work the same way.
2. INFORMATION STORED BY THE APP
The following is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage) so it persists across visits, until you clear it yourself:
Your budget books, weekly budgets, and rollover settings
Transactions (amount, type, category, note, date) and recurring expenses
Custom categories you create
App settings and preferences
The following is stored only for your current browser session (via sessionStorage) and clears automatically when the session ends:
Section-unlock status (unlocks last for a limited time after watching an ad)
None of this data — including your financial records and notes — is sent to us or to any server we operate. It stays on your device.
3. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION
Like most web and mobile apps, basic technical information may be collected automatically when you use Weekly Budget, including:
IP address
Device model and operating system
App/browser usage statistics
Crash reports
Date and time of use
Features accessed within the app
Weekly Budget does not collect precise location information and does not access your device's camera or microphone.
4. PERSONAL INFORMATION & ACCOUNTS
Weekly Budget does not require you to create an account or sign in. Any financial information you enter — including transaction amounts, notes, and categories — is provided voluntarily by you, stored only on your device, and never transmitted to us.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Weekly Budget may use third-party services that collect information under their own privacy policies, including:
Google Play Services
Google AdMob
The rewarded-video "Watch Ad to Unlock" flow is served through an ad provider such as AdMob, which may collect information necessary to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.
6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be disclosed only:
When required by law
To comply with legal obligations
To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the app provider
To trusted service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. ad or analytics providers)
7. DATA RETENTION
Your budgets, transactions, categories, and settings remain in your browser's local storage until you delete them yourself or clear your browser data — they are not automatically erased. Unlock status is session-based and clears when the session ends. Automatically collected technical information (Section 3) may be retained only as long as necessary for analytics, security, legal compliance, and service improvement.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Weekly Budget is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover personal information from a child has been collected, it will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible.
9. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to help protect information handled by the app. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.
10. YOUR CHOICES
You can delete individual transactions, categories, recurring expenses, or entire budget books at any time within the app. Clearing your browser's local storage or uninstalling the app will remove all saved data. You can also stop all data collection by uninstalling the app (on mobile) or simply no longer visiting it (on web).
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of Weekly Budget after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. YOUR CONSENT
By using Weekly Budget, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
