He is incredibly passionate, and will protect what he loves with his life, but his methods can make him come off a little cold to some people.  He doesn't tend to speak that much, only when he's required to or to people he's very close to.  However, if you do manage to get him in a good talking mood, he's very insightful and opinionated.  He can even have a bit of a playful and teasing side.  He prefers to show his affection through actions, but is fully capable of giving reassuring words.  He always tries to stay calm and rational, to keep a good head on his shoulders and remain composed when no one else is.  He is stoic to a T.  He's humble, but stille carries around a certain heir of grace when he performs tasks, like he knows exactly what he's doing and he wants everyone around to know too.  He is typically the first to bring facts into a conversation, naturally focusing more on statistics than emotions.  He can, however, be a little judgmental, and acts cautiously to try new things.  If the emotion is strong enough, he has a hard time keeping it hidden.  He is also incredibly stubborn (unless your name is Doom Norman or Marion Westhemier).

-Relationships-

Positive

He usually doesn’t concern himself with the opinions of others, which is why he chooses to hang out around people he favors.  A good example of this is Doom, his little pookie shmookie bear.  The two are very, very close (emotionally and physically lmao), and tend to spend most of their time together.  Cobalt highly enjoys Doom’s company, admiring the other man’s excitable attitude and charm.  He is endeared by Doom and he confides in him a lot, so Doom always knows the best ways to calm him down in different types of situations.  He thinks that what Doom calls little things, go an incredibly long way.  He likes to savor the moment, always keeping the gifts that Doom gives him or trying to reference things that Doom likes, even if he has no personal interest in it.  He is forever grateful for everything the silly green fellow has done and sacrificed for him.  He tries to make him worry as little as possible, and tries not to be a bother, which might make him seem very distant.

Marion is very similar, and while their relationship is different from his and Doom’s, the two are still very close and hang out a lot.  They share a lot of similar interests and habits, often indulging in different sorts of projects together.

He is on ok terms with Andrew.  He recognizes that Andrew tries his best to be there and mend their relationship, and while he appreciates it, he can’t always just turn off a switch and go back to the way everything used to be.

It’s very similar with Emma.  While the woman has been deceased for very long, he stills holds on to her memories.  He doesn’t seem to ever fully be able to let go, and is unsure if he ever will be able to.  He sometimes wonders if he even remembers her correctly, causing him to doubt his own feelings quite often.  He visits her grave every year to try and honor her, but his inability to let go always leaves him wondering if flowers and a whole day spent are enough.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, there’s Noir.  The two share a very interesting relationship, with Cobalt almost acting as a father figure to the smaller guy.  He entertains him when he visits, and protects him from Doom’s frequent berating.  He enjoys Noir’s company and visits, but due to his upbringing and own relationship with his father, he wonders if he’s really good enough, and is scared he’ll become the very person he used to despise so much.  However, he tries to suppress these feelings for Noir’s greater good and focus more on being there for him, in the moment.

Negative

He doesn’t even consider himself wrong in the upbringing of his younger sister, Millie.  After their mother died, Andrew was so stricken with grief that he not only neglected himself, but his children.  Cobalt tried to be the best stand in father figure he could, but ultimately his efforts were to no avail.  He had no experience, paternal instincts, and spread himself far too thin.  As the two grew older, they began to constantly fight, especially for their father’s attention.  This tore a huge rift between the two that they, ultimately, never repaired.
