Release
Trapped,
pacing around in the cell,
seeking release by a critical judge.
What to say, and how to say it?
Words and phrases bounce off the walls:
snapshots of days with an eye on the I,
competing with the appeal of grand themes.
What will convince?
Each failing review
means revise
and revise;
when will this turn
into the key
which opens the door
granting release?
