Retrieving names from my memory
often takes so much frustrating time
that it makes my mind all tremor-y,
clearly no longer quite in its prime.
As minute after long minute elapses
without any connections working;
no sense of progress by my synapses,
just the feeling that the answer is lurking.
I know that my network is neural
and my intelligence not artificial;
more chemical paths, be they single or plural,
may patch up these gaps interstitial.
Aha, here’s the answer at last,
but alas, the need for it’s passed.
