The Bermuda Railway 1931 - 1948
The Elbow Beach Hotel transported its guests by horse-drawn carriage from here to the hotel.
Fuel oil for the hotel was brought by rail wagon to Ord Road Station, west of here, and pumped over S. Hill. The wagon was filled at the West India Oil Docks (now Esso), east of Ferry Point.
This was the nearest station to the South Shore beaches in Paget. First class passengers could travel here in pullman carriages seated in the comfort of wicker chairs.
