A Planned Utopia
In a nearby distant community's land,
conforming to firm local standards,
the neatly trimmed lawns and hedges
once kept by sweaty manual labor,
are tended now by mechanical tools.
Their sound no longer a roaring nuisance
is greeted instead as a welcome reminder
of drudgery that's no longer required.
At daily scheduled times vehicles appear
to take all citizens for planned exercise
with machines and routines all arranged
for body motions followed with care
and measured to insure optimal wellness.
That’s only part of this new healthy life:
as certified by deeply convincing studies;
the daily meals for each and for all
are prepared and sized for perfect nutrition
without the bother of hot stoves to tend,
or worries about what to eat and to drink
The wonders of Applied Intelligence
provide yet more: to match everyone
as partners and as compatible friends;
gone are the days of frustrating search
of seeking the right one, the best one to meet.
What a fine utopian life is this,
given to fortunate citizenry:
with nothing at all left to decide.
