Devicing
It’s not a nice thing
to engage in devicing
when crossing the street
with steps none too fleet
and both thumbs dancing,
eyes barely glancing
while blandly encroaching
on traffic approaching,
drawing attention
from divine intervention:
on-call angel guarding
(no thought of red-carding)
acting as savior
to protect bad behavior.
Even well-meant advice
will never suffice –
these willing enslaved
stay badly behaved:
always keeping in touch,
nothing matters as much.
