Minutes of the Bateson League AGM

Held at Thirsk Atheltic Club
The Chairman welcomed everybody to the meeting.

Financial Statement
Money in hand - £123.65
As Peter Gordon did not attend, we have no further update on the finances, as he deals with the EM Cup, we are unsure of how much money is held.
The members decided that there was no need for subscriptions from the clubs, as we had enough money in hand. Peter Gordon is willing to stay on, arranging the EM trophy for 2019.
Leyburn were congratulated on winning the league, and Easingwold members Keith Hughes and David Brown , for winning the EM trophy.
Easingwold hosted the winners versus the rest , and were thanked for the lovely afternoon tea which they provided.
League Dates –
George Brewster is retiring after arranging fixtures and points for the last thirteen years, and was thanked for all of his hard work. George has found a replacement . It is Gordon Ibbotson of Bishop Monkton Club.

After one year of Topcliffe providing three ladies to play in the league, they have now been able to find a fourth lady to play.
We received an email from Ben Rhydding Bowling Club, asking if they may join the Bateson League, but the rule states , that we can only have ten teams, so an email will be sent to them, telling them that if a team did drop out, that their request would be considered.
An email arrived from Basil Berchel from Bishop Monkton, regarding data protection, and it has been decided that all members should be asked if they are willing to let the club secretary have their email and home addresses.
The next AGM will be held on Friday November 15th2019 commencing at 2pm at the Thirsk Atheltic Club.
