Elsdon Metcalfe Pairs Finalists

Winners - Basil Birchall and Pauline Beecroft (centre)

 with the runners up - Graham White and Mel Arkle.

The semi finals of 15 ends, were between Barbara Pickles and Muriel Trewhitt from Dishforth,

who were narrowly beaten in a close match by Graham White and Mel Arkley. 

 In the other semi final Shirley Braithwaite and Margaret Hirst from Bedale were well beaten

by Pauline Beecroft and Basil Birchall from Bishop Monkton.

Following a break for refreshments kindly provided by Thirsk, in the Final  Pauline and Basil continued

their winning form and were the worthy winners over Graham and Mel. 

The winners were presented with the Trophy by Barbara Pickles, Bateson Chairman

and all received mementoes.
