It was unanimously agreed that a subscription was unnecessary as there minimal costs in running the league as virtually everything was done online.
However further expenditure did take place as the Chairperson and Secretary did spend a further £19.50 in 3 bottle presents to 3 representatives who continually contribute greatly to the League.- In no particular order :
George Brewster our 'Webmaster' who takes in all the results and keeps us informed very quickly as to the results and league positions as well as keeping an immaculate website.
Derek Kirby who organises and runs the Elsdon Metcalfe pairs trophy.
and Graham White who hosts this AGM and the day of the Elsdon Metcalfe finals. The rinks are always ready for us as well as much needed refreshments.
Many thanks to them.
As a result the Balance held in Cash is £ 122.15

AOB
1. The Question of whether teams play for 1 on the first two ends or play 2 trial ends was raised. The current rules are for 2 trial ends and this is
the formal/usual way before a match is started. It was agreed that if both teams wished to play for 1 on the first 2 ends because of weather conditions or because a match had to be played in another league later in the day the they could do so.However if one team wished to play trial ends then both teams would do so .
The point was made that if one played for 1 on the first 2 ends then the aggregate points at the end of the season would be compromised.
The League Rules must be changed to accommodate this point.
( I will action this point-B B )
There are times when teams cannot raise 12 players and it was agreed that on such occasions the opposition could be asked if they could supply one bowler to help them out. This was likely to be a visiting team . No one raised any objection to suppling a reserve bowler if the occasion arose.
The meeting closed at 2.30 pm
