3 WOOD PAIRS – 18 ENDS (EBA RULES)
MATCHES TO BE PLAYED ANY MORNING (OR AFTERNOON) TO BE FINISHED BY 4pm
3 dates to be offered by home team
Only open to regular nominated Bateson league players
Any number of teams may enter from each club teams not necessarily to be mixed pairs
Fee £1 per player.

Report on semi-finals and final by Basil Birchall
The semi finals over 15 ends were played on a lovely afternoon between
1 John Kerr and Keith Alderson of Bishop Monkton and Barbara and Peter Hardy of Bedale
2 David Brown and Keith Hughes of Easingwold and J Maclean and H Baldwin of Bedale
The Monkton pair won a close game and David and Keith beat the Bedale pair very comfortably
In the 18 end final The Monkton pair were always ahead but the final score of 20 shots to 13 did not reflect how well David and Keith played as defending champions.
However in the end John and Keith From Bishop Monkton won well and congratulations to them !!
In Derek Kirby's abscence Graham White of Thirsk presented the trophy and also hosted the event on a beautifully prepared (as always) green.
Thanks to him and Derek for again organising the event
