Season 2011

The semi finals and final was played at Thirsk on the 18th August.

In the first semi final, after the first few ends with shots evenly shared, Harold and Ann Stockell won against Shirley Braithwaite and Margaret Hirst.

In the other semi final between Ron Young and John Swales against Christine Mitchell and Les Lambert. Again a steady start with Christine and Les emerging as the eventual winners by several shots.

Tea was enjoyed by all and the players were delighted to receive support from friends who had come to watch including the Bateson Chairman Barbara Pickles.

In the final, Christine and Les statred well but Harold and Ann began to pull ahead and won the games convincingly.

Chairman Barbara then presented the runners-up prizes to Christine and Les, plus the winners salvers to Harold and Ann. (see photo).
