Last week it felt like summer.  Yesterday the temperature reached 86

Low temperature is cold

September set a record as the driest September - 0.3 in rain total (on 4 days)

Watering only plants that are active

Not much gardening

Watching leaves fall

Had a mild frost last week

The Dahlias front right have buds but they are shrivelling as the minimum temperatures have be lower than 40 for a couple of days

Water only the deck plants

Wait mode

The lilac. magnolia have yet to change colors and fall.  The red maple is pink  but the pin oak just turns yellow and falls.

Seems to rain everyday and all the time

Garden is slowly shutting down

Over five dahlias never had a bloom but are wilting with the low temperatures

The leaves are changing color but over half have already fallen

The new mums were a success and hope they survive and blossom
