Couple of chillies are ready. Will leave them to see if they turn red

Fertilized the veggies and small plantings using watering cans
Removed old cuke plants and soil and transplanted a solo cuke plant
No more zinnia loss
The deer did get to some of the phlox on the right side - first time even though it was difficult and hidden by daisies

Pinched dahlias for the first time. Seems to be working.

The last few days it is tough to work outside with heat and humidity.
Evening trying to work after 7 - still very humid
The crab apple and the oak were trimmed of dead wood using a tree trimming service. Cut down two branches of magnolia to open up sunlight.
The crab apple is half gone. Looks very sad. Has fire blight. Needs to be professionally sprayed. It will not be as robust in the future

First harvest - green chillies
Transplanted one of the dahlias earlier in the week - seems to work.
The gladioli for cutting are sprouting
Deadheaded the evening primrose to see if it rebloom soon.

The trumpet vine is overwhelming. Tried to tie it back aut not very successful

Looks like Voles are destroying again. Lost one set of Italian beans

Shasta daisies are almost done
Orange crocosima is blooming now
Lost a couple of beans in the fenced veggie patch due to voles. First and surprised

Finally some relief from the heat

Used soaker to spray the crab apple with fungicide. Did not reach top. Will hire tree service soon.
Found a free roaming mouse in the fenced veggie patch.
So far caught 6 mice/voles
