Week of May 25

Students will read an article on the state judicial system and respond to questions.

Students will complete a Webquest to explain how the state judicial system is organized and which courts hear different types of cases.

Students will take a virtual tour of the John Adams courthouse.

Students will take an assessment using Edulastic.

Week of May 18

Students will be learning about the legislative branch of the state government.

  1. Read State Legislatures and Lawmaking and answer the questions

  2. It’s time for a webquest! Visit the mass.gov website by clicking here: https://www.mass.gov/topics/legislative-branch. Browse for a few minutes and then answer the questions below!

  3. Log onto Edulastic via your school google account and complete the assessment for this week labeled “State Legislative Branch- Week 6”

Week of May 4th

This week, students will learn about the state government. Students will be given relevant vocabulary, and will begin by watching a screencast. Students will have readings to complete and questions to answer, as well as an assignment in Edulastic.

Week of April 13

Students will watch a Screencast and review information about political parties. Students will complete five assignments: Vocabulary, Voting, Importance of Voting, Presidential Election and Electoral College, and an assignment on Edulastic.
