IEW:
We are studying the sun this week so, after Evan prayed for us, we headed outside to use the UV rays to take a picture of our hands. We used photo sensitive paper and some patience (lots of patience) to allow the sun to react with the paper. When I washed it in water, what was covered by our hand remained as a permanent “photograph.” We headed back to the classroom and watched a short video on sun facts before filling in the details and coloring the “sun” portion of our solar system project.
Geography: I passed out the cover page for our Atlas and we used brads to bind our paintings together. Then we completed our last Escape Room for the year covering information about North America. Each student was able to unlock the code and most had time to write what they learned on the white board.
Science: We collected the Braille drafts and the Final Draft notebooks. If your student forgot the Final Draft notebook, please have them bring it next week. We then learned about using questions to guide our writing and started on a special project that will be revealed to you in the very near future :) We finished the day with our ice-cream party!
*Just a heads up that we will take time to sign yearbooks on the last day of school*
