Metropolitan Sanctuary Renovation

The Renovation is underway, and here is where we are headed!

The current sanctuary

The sanctuary area will be able to be configured in different ways to accommodate the needs of both church services and orchestra concerts.

Sunday configuration from the congregation's point of view.

Overhead Sunday configuration with choir risers in place.

Sunday configuration with handbell tables in place. Note: the front curved steps retract under the stage when needed.

Orchestra configuration with stage extension added.

Thank you Norlon!

We would like to thank Norlon Builders for allowing us to take photos and timelapse videos to keep Metropolitan's congregation and supporters of London Symphonia up to date during the renovation!

Easter Sunday, April 17th, 2022

This first video was done as a test of the camera we are using to create our timelapse videos. The camera is the DJI Action 2 camera. A very small camera with a lot of features! This video was shot in 4K. The time lapse was for a period of 5 hours with a picture every 20 seconds. The 20 second interval creates a video that is 30 seconds long. We found that the action goes by too fast, so this YouTube version was slowed down in Final Cut. In the future we will set the timelapse to 5 hours with a picture every 10 seconds, producing a 1 minute video.

Note - Photos are from the morning when the timelapse video is being set up. The timelapse is a 5 hour segment condensed into 1 minute.
