Learn to make, make to learn!

Welcome to Maker Club home page.

We are a group of people at QUT who are enthusiastic about learning by making and promoting the maker culture in all levels of education. We make and tinker artefacts that are educational, fun and useful in daily life.

Please feel free to join our regular meetings. Become a member of the Club is free.

You may want to check out our Maker Projects and Resources page for ideas about makerspaces in schools/education, or know our up coming events to join.

Any inquiries, please send us a message via Contact Us page.

  • Arduino Car TB6612FNG: This is another remote control car project with BLE 4 and TB6612FNG.

  • Cardboard Arm: This is a robotic arm built by cardboard and Makedo tools.

  • MeArm: This is an open-source, desktop, small robotic arm. MeArm is an easy to build, entrance-level robotic arm.

  • Otto Upgraded Robot: Based on the OttoDIY, a touch sensor and LED have been integrated into this upgrade.

  • Sensory Hexagonal LED: Arduino programmable LED (WS2812) in 3D printed hexagonal cases, designed for special need kids.

  • Otto DIY Robot: Must see its fun and easy coding movements. This is a beginning of Otto bot journey. More Otto bots to come.

  • Arduino Car: A simple 4-wheel remote control car using Arduino Nano + Bluetooth module + 3D printing.

  • Robotic Arm: This is a make-in-progress 7-servo robotic arm. The aim is to make it controllable using Bluetooth and a mobile App.

  • Arduino-based interaction: Click to read on how design involves the arts, microcontroller, sensors, servos and so on to make new enjoyable experience in life.

  • Artistic Co-creations: Must watch the video to see how educational artistic co-creations can happen.

New maker tools

  • Kitsi Blocks and Kitsunei Creator: This is an introduction to a set of new Australian made STEM/STEAM tool.
