26 February 2023 (Sunday): We found that threading chainmail is not easy, and therefore, Andy designed a chainmail connector project avaialble on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5878412. Using this connector, a lady's top chainmail can be created.
24 February 2023 (Friday): Jaya started her 3D fashion projects. One project is about threading the printed chainmails to make a cloth. Another one is to 3D print directly on tulle fabric so it can be sew onto cloth easily.
3 February 2023 (Friday): Andy started printing Chainmail as part of a fashion display for the QUT Foundry at KG-R224. A few chainmail or 3D fabric projects from Thingiverse are trialed and I mass-printed this early popular one https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3096598 Chainmail - 3D Printable Fabric

PhD Final Seminar – Ding Zhou (Joe)
Adopting Design-based Pedagogy Utilising 3D Printing to Develop Integrated STEM Programs in Queensland, Australia
Date: Tuesday 27th April 2021
Time: 9.00am – 11.00am
Venue: GP-P638
Abstract: Integrated Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education is recognised as the latest development stage on the pathway to a highly capable future workforce with human-based morality. This thesis addresses the research problem: a lack of understanding of the value of Solution-based DBP (Design-based Pedagogy) utilising 3D printing in enabling the development of integrated STEM education. It contributes to an empirically validated conceptualisation of design-led integrated STEM education, helps improve planning and teaching resources for STEM educators, encourages an epistemological shift in the Australian STEM education community, and ultimately improves the prospects of future innovative thinkers.Friday 16th April 2021, from 9:30 am to 4 pm @ KG-B428B. MakerClub meeting time.

While most members of the QUT community are putting their feet up after a long hard first semester, the Maker club is working overtime to prepare for the Immerse yourself display. The Immerse yourself display will showcase the maker club and put on display some of the incredible creations from club members.
"We have a range of technologies on display; 3D printing, Robotics, programming and many more exciting displays" Club member and QUT education student student Mitchell Blashak when asked about the display. "It really will be an amazing showcase, there will be lots to see and do, Including interactive displays to challenge the minds of the visitors, this is an event not to be missed." Blashak said.
The Event will take place in the Course reserve of the Kelvin Grove Library (level 2) on Tuesday the 23rd July. "Having the event during the first week of semester two gives the showcase much exposure to the recharged staff and students of QUT." Blashak explained "Although the event is hosted on the 23rd the displays will still be up for a few days either side to give people plenty of opportunity to get involved"
