Hospitals are required to purchase the font and number of licenses as per their need. The following is a summary of key legal guidelines that hospitals need to be aware of.
The Copperplate font can be purchased at www.myfonts.com/fonts/urw/copperplate.
In general, there are six licenses available for purchase depending on the needs.
License is per desktop user. It can be used for printed advertising material but each desktop user creating the works have to have a license. The font may be provided to a graphic designer or agency working on our behalf provided they use the font exclusively for our work.
License is based on the volume of traffic (number of page views). To note that there are certain technical requirements if we want to use this on our websites e.g. The T&Cs for this states that we need to show copyright information for the font in the working website code for this. There is also a need to retain page view tracking code supplied in the Web Font Kit.
License is for developing an app for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone, and the font file will be embedded in the mobile application’s code.
An ePub license is based on the number of publications in which the font is used. Each issue counts as a separate publication. Regional or format variations don’t count as separate publications.
A server license is required for sites, web apps, or services that allow a non-licensed user to utilize the font to create a product (for example, personalized t-shirts, PDF receipts, business cards, and pictures with captions, etc).
You can use this type of license to embed fonts into digital ads, such as ads built using HTML5.
Similar to Copperplate, we are required to purchase the font and number of licenses as per our need. The following is a summary of key legal guidelines that hospitals need to be aware of.
The Gotham font can be purchased at www.typography.com/fonts/gotham/styles.
In general, there are three licenses available for purchase depending on the needs.
You can use fonts on your computer by buying an End-User license.
Gotham fonts are licensed for a specific number of computers, and prices start at one computer. Not every computer on the network needs a font license: only machines on which the fonts are operational, and those on which they are stored, need a license. That is, if the font can be activated so that it appears in your menu, or the font files themselves are stored on your hard drive, your computer needs a license.
With App.typography you can publish apps, digital publications, or eBooks using the Gotham fonts you have purchased for your computer.
