Orange Town has remained relatively the same after the events that transpired after Monkey D. Luffy’s time. The populace was rather surprised when the World Government placed their new head of operations in the East Blue, near Orange Town.
The headquarters for the marines in the East Blue is on the Organ Islands, being an extremely large training grounds for marines and an outpost for monitoring threats to the World Government.
Mostly loyal to the marines who are protectorates of the archipelago and seek to keep a stern hold on the East Blue through the island.
Some of the strongest marines in the East Blue are stationed here. Reportedly, a vice-admiral is the leader over the entire facility.
The Organ Islands economy is delicately situated on Orange Town and funds from the World Government. It is not a poor island, but it is not a rich one by economic standards either.
Organ Islands has its fair share of vegetation, with Orange Town being the exemption due to the buildings being tightly knitted together. Organ Islands is also home to the Heart Flower which is rumored to be able to cure any emotional trauma.
Orange Town has remained the same in the hundred years since Monkey D. Luffy’s reign as King of the Pirates. The town has expanded some, but has seen some recessions throughout the years. Because the Marine HQ is near Orange Town, it is easily the most fortified island in the East Blue. It would be nearly impossible to attack Orange Town and get away from authorities.
Many of the villagers were in protest to the Marine Headquarters being built near Orange Town, embroiling the town in a civil war between safety and anti-world government ideology. This caused a huge rift and brought about the Orange Drift, which is one of the most told stories in the East Blue. Nearly half of the inhabitants of Orange Town left the island behind and went on a grand voyage toward the Grand Line.
One of the great mysteries of the seas is figuring out what happened to the Orange Drift crew that abandoned Orange Town and sought out a brilliant adventure. Some say that the settlers were living the pirate life during the Age of Warring, where pirates were fewer and further in between.
Because of this shift, most citizens of Orange Town are accepting of the Marine Headquarters and are active participants in the facilitation of the marines.
