Important figures are not allowed to be involved in your backstory. This includes Admirals, Emperors, Warlords, and World Nobles. It also applies to important figures in our own lore like the King of Goa and the captains of the 7 pirate crews in Loguetown. Essentially, no reservation of important political figures for your character’s backstory purposes.
You cannot create lore for a canon island that staff have not reviewed as an island in your backstory. This includes war, major political ideologies, and other assumptions about the island on an international level. This means if the lore document for the island hasn’t been written yet, it’s safe to say you need to be careful.
Important groups can be mentioned and put into your backstory, but should be very vague. For example, you can have a person from a Yonko crew in your story, but you can’t characterize or give any information about that crew.
Marines below the rank of Admiral can be in your backstory. However, if they are ranked Captain to Vice Admiral, they must be dead or not in the East Blue. If this character in the backstory is a higher rank than your character, you must not interact/get help from them in RP until your character is around their rank.
Characters are not allowed to be royalty. This means they can’t be a prince, king, princess, World Noble, etc.
Your character can be from the Grand Line, but you must explain properly how they ended up in East Blue where their story in the server starts. It is not advised to have your character originate from anywhere beyond Fishman Island, which is considered to be the gateway to New World.
You can’t start with a bounty or a rank above Seaman Recruit
You must explain how you learned all your fighting styles and abilities in your backstory.
You cannot have a canon sword in your backstory.
