Educators are in a unique position to consistently improve our methodology in the classroom. There is no lack of research to show the potential effectiveness of a new or innovative method or practice. With each generation comes a new series of needs, strengths and interests. We learn more about the human brain and the ways we acquire and retain learning every day. As an educator, one of our most important roles in the classroom is the responsibility to model a forever learner- someone who acknowledges you can always improve your craft and is fueled by a passion to identify potential short comings and fervently research strategies to adapt and grow. Practicing both a growth mindset and the process of continuous improvement allow us to become educators who make the greatest impact on our students and our community.
