The original wording is quite repetitive and the progression from CCC → CSC → CMC isn't very clear. I would structure it so that each level shows an obvious increase in depth, client ownership, flexibility and coaching mastery.
At CCC level, the coach supports the client's thinking and awareness using appropriate questions, feedback and coaching techniques.
Provides direct, fair and constructive feedback respectfully.
Uses questions to stimulate the client's thinking and self-reflection.
Explores the client's insights to help broaden their perspective.
Uses appropriate coaching tools and techniques to support discovery and awareness.
Helps the client identify new thoughts, feelings, perspectives and possibilities.
Gives the client sufficient space to think and respond rather than providing all the answers.
Encourages the client to recognise their own learning and insights.
Simple principle:
“I help the client think differently and discover more about themselves.”
At CSC level, the coach deepens the exploration and increasingly trusts the client to generate their own insights, learning and solutions.
Provides honest, direct and constructive feedback without judgement.
Explores the client's insights deeply rather than moving quickly to the next question.
Uses questions that challenge assumptions and stimulate new thinking and emotional awareness.
Selects and adapts coaching tools and techniques according to the client's needs.
Invites the client to explore what they have learned about themselves, their situation and their challenges.
Shares observations openly while remaining unattached to being right.
Checks the client's response rather than assuming the coach's interpretation is correct.
Trusts the client to decide what meaning to make from the coaching conversation.
Allows sufficient silence and space for the client to develop their own insights.
Encourages the client to take ownership of their learning and next steps.
Simple principle:
“I deepen the client's thinking while trusting them to find their own answers.”
At CMC level, the coach partners deeply with the client and creates the conditions for the client to generate their own insights, methods, solutions and transformation.
Shares observations and challenges directly, honestly and courageously, without attachment to being right.
Uses the client's words, emotions, energy and emerging insights to deepen exploration.
Is comfortable not knowing where the coaching conversation will lead.
Allows the client sufficient space to experience, process and articulate their own insights.
Trusts the client's ability to determine what is meaningful and how they will respond.
Avoids forcing awareness, interpretations or solutions onto the client.
Partners with the client at a deep level while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Invites the client to generate their own approaches, methods, experiments and tools.
Helps the client recognise and trust their own capacity to learn, choose and act.
Explores not only what the client has learned, but how the client learns, thinks, responds and creates change.
Uses the coaching relationship itself as a source of awareness when appropriate.
Supports the client to integrate insights into their wider world, journey, relationships and challenges.
Creates space for uncertainty, vulnerability, complexity and transformational insight.
Simple principle:
“I trust the client deeply enough to let them create the insight, meaning, method and change.”
CCC: I facilitate the client's thinking.
CSC: I deepen the client's thinking and trust their ability to find their own answers.
CMC: I create the conditions for the client to generate their own insight, learning, methods and transformation.
Level
Coach's role

CCC

CSC
Deepens exploration

CMC
Creates transformational conditions
Generates insight, meaning, methods and change
The biggest distinction is that CMC is not about asking more powerful questions or using more techniques. It is about less attachment from the coach and more ownership by the client. The coach becomes increasingly comfortable with not knowing, allowing the client's thinking, learning and discovery to lead the conversation.
