INTRODUCTION

The following lesson plans are structured around the central theme of African influence on the historical and cultural development of Brazil and the United States. The main purpose here is to promote critical awareness regarding the enduring contributions of African-descendant peoples to both societies, while also encouraging reflection on the persistence of structural racism and how we can fight it.
