Introduction
This PDPI project aims to implement the "Choice Board" as an active methodology, making the learning process more dynamic, meaningful and student-centered. It promotes student autonomy and engagement, as it increases interest and motivation, valuing preferences and learning styles. It also recognizes that each student has different abilities and paces, enabling more inclusive and adaptable learning.
This method of learning prioritizes backgrounds, talents and passions from the students. This is an inclusive way of teaching. These tasks include interaction between students, who can work in pairs or groups, reinforcing values such as solidarity, shared responsibility and mutual help, which demonstrates the use of cooperative techniques. These activities were developed for A2 level students, according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages).
My current school is in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, it is a middle school, I work full-time. There are 500 students, they are 11-14 years old. By using this CHOICE BOARD, students are capable to understand sentences and use expressions related to the content and the simple present.
