Introduction
This lesson plan targets High School students, focusing on the relationship between music and feelings. Its goal is to explore the deep connection between music, mood and emotions in adolescents, using music as a tool for the development of socio-emotional intelligence. It uses principles from TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Bloom s Taxonomy to structure activities that move from basic recall to higher order thinking skills. The objectives are that students will be able to identify, describe, and analyze how music causes different feeling, using appropriate vocabulary and analytical skills. Also it seeks students to be able to recognize, name and express their emotions, as well as understand the power of music to excite students’ interest and elevate their engagement with English.
