3rd Week of November
This week on YouTube Korea, many products that display the beauty of Korean traditional design were introduced.
First of all, Calary Girl A has reviewed several products that have the design which was inspired by Korean history. She first introduced a powder pact by a Korean beauty brand Sulwhasoo, which costs around 20,000,000 KRW (20,000 USD). Then, she introduced the official museum souvenir shop run by the National Museum of Korea, as it is famous for its high quality & beautiful products. She introduced several earrings that were inspired from the gold crown of the Shilla dynasty, and also airpods case that have Korean traditional ceramics on the cover. Many comments said that "I didn't expect a museum souvenir shop to be this high quality" and "These products are not old-fashioned like common souvenirs! I would use them myself!" Many of the products sold in the museum shop are already sold out, so make sure to frequently check if they are back on stock!
The second video that gained popularity this week was the Hanbok edition from a Korean beauty brand "Rom&nd"(you can read it like "Rom-and"). "The Hanbok Project" led by Rom&nd shows the beauty of Hanbok, and tells people to be original. Container of the products were inspired by Hanbok, jade rings and celadon colors, which makes them more colorful and beautiful. Beauty creator Minsco wore Hanbok just to review this product line, so make sure to check them out.
On November 14, tvN’s “Amazing Saturday” held a “Hyeri special” to commemorate her final appearance on the show.
MC Boom shared that Hyeri would have two special advantages in her special episode: because she likes “one-shots” (when the camera is focused on a single person rather than a group shot), she would get her own one-shot in the background of all the food videos. She also got her own mic so that she could express her opinion whenever she wanted.
Cheonggukjang (stew with fermented bean paste), the food on the line for the mission, was also one of Hyeri’s favorites. The song for this mission was SEVENTEEN’s “Adore U.” Hyeri said, “SEVENTEEN has been with me on this show from the start until the end.”
The second mission was the song “You’re the Best in the Universe” (literal translation) by Hockee. Near the end of the mission, Moon Se Yoon said, “This seems like a message that the production staff wanted to send to Hyeri,” making her tear up.
She said, “I’ve been thinking since last night about what I wanted to say. I’m so happy that I could meet such great people. Thank you for taking care of me and giving me so much love.”
tvN’s upcoming drama “True Beauty” has released more stills of Moon Ga Young as Lim Ju Gyeong!
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, the romantic comedy is about Lim Ju Gyeong (Moon Ga Young), a cheerful and optimistic high school student who uses makeup to deal with her insecurities about her appearance. She’s determined to hide her bare face from the world, so she tends to overdo her makeup. She meets Lee Su Ho (ASTRO‘s Cha Eun Woo), who has wounds of his own, and they grow as they share their secrets with each other.
In the new stills, viewers can catch a glimpse of Lim Ju Gyeong without any makeup on. She’s wearing oversized black-framed glasses, and her dark eyebrows are especially noticeable. Her cheeks are covered with red blotches, and her hair is pulled back into a ponytail. Despite the fact that she’s barefaced, she steals attention with her bright smile that radiates positive energy.
Expectations are high for Moon Ga Young as she will switch back and forth between makeup goddess Lim Ju Gyeong and innocent high school student Lim Ju Gyeong.
The production crew of “True Beauty” commented, “Moon Ga Young surprised the crew by completely transforming into Lim Ju Gyeong and paying attention to every aspect of her character’s facial expression, behavior, and speech. She never fails to make the set brighter with her lovely charm, and she doesn’t mind going through rough transformations in order to fully portray her character. Please look forward to Moon Ga Young’s performance as she brings Lim Ju Gyeong to life.”
“True Beauty” is scheduled to premiere in December.

YouTube has recovered from a seemingly worldwide outage that prevented videos from loading for roughly an hour. During the outage, many Verge staffers were unable to watch videos, and YouTube confirmed at 7:23PM ET that something was going on:
The issue appeared to affect other services that use the YouTube infrastructure too, including YouTube TV and the movies and TV shows you’d purchase through Google TV (formerly known as Google Play Movies & TV). We couldn’t load them.
Early in the outage, the YouTube website itself seemed to load just fine, but videos themselves would continuously show the loading wheel. One Verge staffer got a video to load after about a minute. As of about 8:00PM ET, though, we saw error screens like this whenever we tried to watch a video:
Things seemed to be back as early as 8:30PM ET, but you might have hit a few quirks. At that point, videos played on YouTube’s website seemed to be working as they normally do. On the mobile app, one Verge staffer saw a few error messages, but those would clear with a refresh. YouTube TV worked on mobile for another Verge staffer at that point after he force closed the app.
DownDetector showed a truly tremendous number of user reports of problems with YouTube, indicating the problem was widespread — the DownDetector graph peaked with more than 280,000 user reports in less than an hour. Numerous users on Twitter reported that YouTube wasn’t working for them, either, and searches spiked for “is YouTube down.”
