"Mini Forest 미니포레스트" was chosen as this week’s Creator on the Rise on YouTube Korea. The overall concept of the channel seems to be inspired by the movie <Little Forest>(2018). This channel presents miniature dishes but it not just about cooking a small dish. There are also miniature ovens and cauldrons that actually work, and the video is very calm and beautiful in a visual sense. Also, sometimes it seems too difficult for some miniature channels to handle props that are too small but the props used in Mini Forest’s videos are moderately small in size, making it easier and more comfortable for the viewers to watch. Approximately a month ago, this channel had about 8k subscribers and since it was introduced as the Creator on the Rise, the exposure has increased and the number of subscribers has now increased to 150k.
Hongbin has now withdrawn from VIXX, and the group will be promoting with five members in the future. On August 7, Jellyfish Entertainment shared the following statement:
In February, Hongbin made some comments about other idol groups during a Twitch stream, and some of the comments became the subject of controversy. Following the broadcast, both Jellyfish Entertainment and Hongbin apologized.
On August 6, Hongbin shared a post on Twitch in which he gave an update for fans. After first asking how everyone has been, he shared his intentions to return to the platform.
“I’ve been thinking that I want to be doing fun broadcasts again where we can laugh and chat while gaming together,” he wrote. “Many changes have happened while I was taking a break from broadcasts. I’m still adjusting, so I’m a bit all over the place. I still don’t know how the broadcasts might change in the future as well, but I’m planning on doing broadcasts that you can comfortably watch while laughing and chatting like before. It’s possible that you’ll see how I’m inexperienced and still wandering, but I’m going to try harder so that they can be fun broadcasts we can enjoy together,” he added. “I’m sorry for making you wait so long. See you soon.”
Jang Man Wol (IU) and Go Moon Young (Seo Ye Ji) have a lot in common: both are moody, self-centered, high-fashion female leads of two incredibly successful fantasy dramas. (Who doesn’t love “Hotel Del Luna” or “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay”?). These tsundere ladies both have good buried deep under their prickly exteriors, which are often our #mood — they don’t waste time worrying about what others think! The corn cheese recipe, which was uploaded a month ago on the channel "Paik's Cuisine”, gained popularity again as it was introduced again in a post of Kakao 1boon(Community of Kakaotalk). Corn cheese is a dish which is commonly served as a side dish at Japanese seafood restaurants. It seems easy to make but actually is known to be difficult to reenact the same taste at home. Paik Jong-won says in the video, "If you want to make the exact same corn cheese that you have at a restaurant, you must put onions, whether you like them or not." It also shows both recipes using air fryers and recipes using just pans, making it easy for viewers without air fryers to try out the recipe. In the Kakao 1boon post, some say it is delicious and others say they are worried about their health because the recipe uses only high-calorie ingredients. But whatever-it's delicious!!

#3 beirut explosion: A pair of explosions, the second much bigger than the first, struck the city of Beirut early Tuesday evening, killing at least 154 people, wounding more than 5,000 and causing widespread damage. The exact cause remains undetermined, but a fire ravaged a port warehouse around 6 p.m. There were two explosions, a smaller one that was followed seconds later by a larger blast that destroyed huge swathes of the city. Officials say the second, more devastating explosion most likely came from a nearby 2,750-ton stockpile of ammonium nitrate, a highly explosive chemical often used as fertilizer, which Prime Minister Hassan Diab said had been stored in a depot for six years.

Alan and Alex Stokes, 23-year-old twin brothers known best for posting prank videos to YouTube under their channel Stokes Twins, have each been charged with a felony related to a fake bank robbery, the aftermath of which the brothers recorded and posted to YouTube last October, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office (via The Hollywood Reporter.)
As part of the prank, the two brothers falsely presented themselves as criminals to an Uber driver and other random bystanders, who they then implored to give them clothes, rides, and other forms of assistance in a way that South California authorities say broke the law. “These were not pranks. These are crimes that could have resulted in someone getting seriously injured or even killed,” Todd Spitzer, the Orange County district attorney, said in a statement. “Law enforcement officers are sworn to protect the public and when someone calls 911 to report an active bank robbery they are going to respond to protect lives. Instead, what they found was some kind of twisted attempt to gain more popularity on the internet by unnecessarily putting members of the public and police officers in danger.” The brothers have each been charged with one felony count of “false imprisonment effected by violence, menace, fraud, or deceit” and one misdemeanor count of falsely reporting an emergency. According to the DA’s office, the brothers face up to four years in prison if convicted on both counts.
The video shows the brothers at one point explaining the prank to a police officer, who tells them that more than a dozen officers were called to the scene over what was ultimately a false report of on-the-run criminals. The end of the video shows even more officers surrounding the brothers as they try to further explain the prank. “This is what is going to get... someone potentially hurt. We have people stopping in the middle of the street because they’re watching this — guys pulling off ski masks, throwing stuff on the ground and changing clothes,” one officer says. “Think about what’s going on nowadays. Think about it. You’ve got to be smarter than that. You know better,” another officer says. “You’re absolutely lucky you didn’t get guns drawn on you.”
