One of the three most popular broadcasting channels of Korea, SBS, has its own YouTube channel called "문명특급(MMTG)". This channel is famous for its content that interviews past singers who released unique songs. These songs are called "숨듣명", which is a shortened version of "숨어서 듣는 명곡". When translated into English, this means "Songs that you secretly listen to by yourself because you are too ashamed to tell others that you like this music". These songs at received not only love when it was released, but also hate because the lyrics and the concept is a little bit cringey and cheesy. "MMTG" has invited all of those singers and created a concert for the Chuseok holidays, so make sure to check them out!
The upcoming Incheon K-Pop Concert 2020 has officially announced its lineup! The 11th annual Incheon K-Pop (INK) Concert will take place on October 10, and due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers have decided to stream this year’s concert online for free. NCT’s Jaemin and ITZY’s Chaeryeong will be hosting the concert as its two MCs, and the lineup of performers will include EXO’s Baekhyun, GFRIEND, ASTRO, ITZY, The Boyz, AB6IX, Weki Meki, and Lee Eun Sang. #1 Welcome to Waikiki
“Welcome To Waikiki” stars Kim Jung Hyun as Dong Goo, Lee Yi Kyung as Joon Gi, and Son Seung Won as Doo Sik. The three men are struggling to try and keep their hostel afloat as they are close to declaring bankruptcy. In a turn of fate, they discover an abandoned baby in their hostel and do their best to care of the child until Yoon Ah (Jung In Sun) shows up to take back her baby.
You’re guaranteed to laugh until your stomach hurts at least a few times while watching this series. Seeing the hilarious antics that the three friends go through is so entertaining and will have you smiling from beginning to end. Although they are all dealing with some pretty difficult times in their lives, they still manage to find humor in it. The bromance between the three friends in particular is envious, and you’ll also feel all warm inside seeing the adorable little baby they take under their wings.
#2 She Was Pretty
“She Was Pretty” stars Hwang Jung Eum as Kim Hye Jin, a woman who used to be very put together and popular with the boys as a kid but grows up caring a little less about her appearance. She gets a chance at a magazine company where she reunites with her first love Ji Sung Joon (Park Seo Joon). Sung Joon had been madly in love with Hye Jin when he was younger but is unable to recognize her as an adult.
This series has got all the cheesy rom-com elements that are bound to put you in a good mood. It’s got the added bonus of Park Seo Joon and Choi Si Won as the two leading men, so you know you’ve got the eye candy thing covered. It’s a feel-good series about two characters who overcome a lot of life’s obstacles and end up finding love in each other. The womance, second-male syndrome, and seeing Hwang Jung Eum be her hysterical self will make you smile nonstop!
#3 Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
“Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” is about a weightlifting female lead named Kim Bok Joo, played by the lovely Lee Sung Kyung. She ends up falling in love with a swimmer named Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk) who she had met when they were kids. The two form a romance and become a campus couple. They end up going through a lot of obstacles and stress that college students go through, but they find comfort in leaning on one another.
If you don’t feel happy seeing Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk exude butterflies and chemistry, then I don’t know what will! The best part about this series besides the adorable storyline featuring a weightlifting heroine is seeing the friend-like romantic relationship the two leads have. Although they’re in love, they’re not afraid to bicker and annoy each other. And seeing the two go through personal issues to have the other one help them through it is so uplifting and adorable. We really can’t get enough of these two!
#4 Oh My Ghostess
Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young) is an assistant chef to Kang Sun Woo (Jo Jung Suk). Bong Sun is a shy and timid girl, but she gets possessed by Shin Soon Ae (Kim Seul Gi), a ghost who has a bit of a wild side. With the help of Soon Ae’s outgoing personality, Sun Woo begins to notice the charm of Bong Sun.
Seeing Kim Seul Gi in anything is bound to bring in the fun and laughs. In this particular series, she’s a seductress and tries really hard to seduce Kang Sun Woo. The synopsis is hysterical in itself, and with Jo Jung Suk and Park Bo Young as the main leads, you really can’t go wrong. It’s not only adorable seeing the timid Bong Sun come out of her shell, but you’ll feel the warmth from Jo Jung Suk as he opens up his heart to her. It’s a feel-good love story!
#5 Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
This romantic comedy stars Park Bo Young, Park Hyung Sik, Ji Soo, and a bunch of hilarious supporting actors. The K-drama follows the story of Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young), a young woman gifted with superhuman strength. She falls in love and hopes to achieve her dream of becoming a game designer.
The kidnapping part of this series is a bit of a downer, but the main leads make up for it. The puppy-love romance between Do Bong Soon and Ahn Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Sik) is totally believable, and you’ll appreciate the way he looks into her eyes. Not only does the romance part of this series make you giddy, but seeing Park Hyung Sik and Ji Soo will definitely boost your mood. They have this power!
#6 Her Private Life
Sung Deok Mi (Park Min Young) is an art curator by day and a K-pop idol fangirl by night. When she’s not working hard, she’s most likely going to concerts and events held by her favorite idol. Ryan Gold (Kim Jae Wook) starts working as the new director at Deok Mi’s art gallery, and although at first they don’t get along, they realize that they have a deeper connection than they thought.
There was quite a lot of buzz surrounding Kim Jae Wook’s character Ryan Gold when this series aired. Ryan Gold seems to embody everything needed to be a perfect boyfriend. He is kind, gentle, understanding, and loves Sung Deok Mi with all his heart. Seeing his love for Deok Mi blossom throughout the series is therapeutic in itself and will put you in a good mood.
#7 Oh My Venus
Kim Young Ho (So Ji Sub) is a personal trainer who meets a lawyer by the name of Kang Joo Eun (Shin Min Ah). The two form an unlikely relationship as Young Ho becomes her personal trainer. Joo Eun is striving to lose a lot of weight and to improve her overall health, which Young Ho is determined to do. The two get to know each other very well and begin to realize their feelings for each other.
There’s nothing better than seeing a makeover themed K-drama. Everyone loves seeing a drastic transformation in a character, and this particular series does it well. Kang Joo Eun struggles with her weight and wants to gain more self-confidence, which is what she works hard to do. Seeing this character go through this journey is inspiring, and it might even motivate you to exercise and eat healthy. Maybe.
#8 What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim
Kim Mi So (Park Min Young) decides that it’s time for her to quit her job of being a secretary to Lee Young Joon (Park Seo Joon) in hopes of pursuing her dreams of finding a husband and starting a family. After being pretty dependent on her for a while, Young Joon can’t accept that she will be leaving and ends up proposing that they get married.
Let’s be real, watching any Park Seo Joon drama is bound to boost your mood, and his role as the arrogant but soft-hearted Lee Young Joon is no different. This is a character who was willing to marry his secretary because she really wanted to get married and have a family. Talk about being selfless! Ok, so he did it at the expense that she would remain his secretary, but it was still super sweet. Seeing all the grand and romantic gestures Young Joon does for Mi So throughout the series will turn your heart to mush and make you a believer in love.
#9 My Lovely Sam Soon
“My Lovely Sam Soon” stars Hyun Bin as a restaurant owner named Hyun Jin Hyeon and Kim Sun Ah as Kim Sam Soon. Kim Sam Soon is a 30-year-old whose boyfriend cheats on her — amongst other unfortunate events. She ends up getting a job at the restaurant Jin Hyeon owns, and the two are not really fond of each other. But when they pretend to be boyfriend and girlfriend for the sake of Jin Hyeon, the two discover that they have a lot more in common than they thought.
There’s nothing better than watching an underdog come out on top. In this particular series, you can expect to feel a bit bad for the female lead Kim Sam Soon. She can’t seem to catch a break, and you really want her to figure things out and to find love. There is a part of Sam Soon that many can relate to,, and seeing her finally find herself and true love is not only empowering but really uplifting! You’ll enjoy seeing the chemistry between the two main leads.
#10 The Greatest Love
“The Greatest Love” has two male leads who are both pretty perfect. Goo Ae Jung (Gong Hyo Jin) is one lucky women as she has these two solid men desperate for her affection: a movie star on one hand and a doctor on the other. As she’s trying to figure out her own personal goals and dreams in life, she is also forced to choose between two men who are both equally amazing.
Cha Seung Won and Gong Hyo Jin as two main leads really light up the screen. Their chemistry and banter are perfect for watching especially if you’re not into anything too intense or serious. The script and whole vibe of the series are light-hearted, and you’ll get sucked into the adorable romance between an ex-idol and a movie star. It’s like a fairytale dream come true!
#11 Splash Splash Love
“Splash Splash Love” stars Highlight’s Yoon Doojoon and the charming Kim Seul Gi in a drama world where history and modern day collide. Dan Bi (Kim Seul Gi) is a high school student who magically transports to the Joseon period. In this unfamiliar environment, she meets King Lee Do (Yoon Doojoon). While the two find comfort in each other’s company, they fall in love and embark on a wild romance.
Simply put, this series is adorable and romantic. It’s also only two episodes, so there’s really nothing to lose! Seeing Dan Bi try to adjust to the Joseon era and trying to figure out her feelings for Lee Do is the perfect kind of adventure to watch when you’re feeling a bit down. Their love for each other and the fact that it overcomes time and space will give you all the hope and smiles you need!

Many Korean YouTubers have reviewed the product, as it is a special type of burger frequently eaten in the military under the name of "Gunderia". If you are not living in Korea, don't worry! This is so easy to make that you could try at any part of the world. You just need four burger buns, two patties, strawberry jam, cole slaw, and milk! The first two videos on the top are commercials of the Lotteria's "Military Burger", and the third video is a review video of a Korean YouTuber "Quaddurup", who was on the <Toy Soldiers season 1>.
