🧬 ORIGIN STORY

Very little is known about the early life of Mr. Zero.

His real name, date of birth, family, and personal history remain unknown. The only thing that is certain is that he originated from the oldest reality he had ever encountered at the time: Reality-1.

Before becoming Mr. Zero, he was an elite scientist whose intelligence extended across numerous scientific disciplines. He possessed an exceptional understanding of chemistry, biology, physics, engineering, mathematics, and theoretical science. Zero had already spent considerable time researching the possibility of multiversal travel before the events that would destroy his world. He knew that other realities theoretically existed, although he had never successfully traveled between them.

His life changed when The Watcher arrived in Reality-1. The Watcher descended upon Zero's reality and began destroying it, eventually wiping out the world Zero had known. Civilization collapsed, countless lives were lost, and the reality itself was ultimately destroyed.

Zero survived. He did not survive because he was stronger than The Watcher. He survived because he hid. With his world collapsing around him, Zero retreated into his basement and disappeared from everyone. He destroyed his records, research documents, personal information, and anything else that could potentially reveal who he was or where he had gone. He wanted his past to disappear with his reality. For approximately one month, Zero remained in Reality-1. During this period, he devoted himself almost entirely to solving the problem of multiversal travel. He already knew such travel was possible from his previous research; he simply had to figure out how to make it work.

During this month, he also created and used a biological serum designed to dramatically extend his lifespan while keeping his body healthy. The serum could allow a person to live for approximately 380 years while maintaining an exceptionally healthy physical condition. Zero took the serum himself. He knew that if he escaped into the multiverse, he might need centuries to accomplish what he intended to do.

Eventually, Zero succeeded. He created a specialized watch capable of multiversal travel.

Before leaving Reality-1 behind, Zero abandoned his old appearance and identity. He donned an entirely black outfit consisting of a trench coat, fedora, boots, gloves, shirt, pants, and other black clothing. The outfit served a practical purpose. He needed to hide his identity. From that point forward, he became Mr. Zero. The name was intentionally vague, giving away nothing about his former identity.

After successfully leaving Reality-1, Zero did not immediately begin interfering with other realities. Instead, he devoted himself to studying The Watcher. He researched everything he could possibly discover about him: his abilities, behavior, movements, patterns, weaknesses, methods of destruction, and the way he perceived reality itself. Zero's hatred for The Watcher became the central driving force of his existence. The Watcher had destroyed his home. Zero intended to make sure The Watcher eventually paid for it.

The Discovery of Reality-0

As Zero continued traveling through the multiverse, he began developing his own system for identifying realities. The realities were not naturally numbered. Zero numbered them himself. Whenever he discovered a reality, he studied its age and placed it into his personal classification system. The numbers represented their relative age according to what Zero had discovered.

Eventually, Zero discovered a reality older than Reality-1. He designated it Reality-0. This discovery became one of the most important moments of his life. Reality-0 was not simply another reality. Zero began noticing unusual characteristics surrounding it and its inhabitants. The more he studied it, the more convinced he became that Reality-0 could somehow be connected to his search for The Watcher.

While traveling through Reality-0 one day, Zero overheard a scuffle. He investigated and discovered Elliot Huxley, later known as Gayifier being attacked by a man who was attempting to take advantage of him. Zero immediately intervened. After stopping the man, Zero took Elliot with him and brought him somewhere safer. Later, Zero conducted a biological analysis of Elliot. What he discovered fascinated him. Elliot possessed a unique genetic mutation that Zero had never encountered before. His DNA appeared to have an extraordinary compatibility with one of Zero's experimental enhancement formulas. Zero began developing a specialized serum specifically for Elliot. He eventually injected Elliot with it.

The interaction between the serum and Elliot's unique DNA produced an extraordinary result, amplifying his abilities to an unprecedented level. Zero realized that Elliot could potentially become the strongest hero in existence. But Zero discovered something else. Reality-0 itself appeared to be the key to his search for The Watcher. For the first time since the destruction of his home, Zero had something resembling a path forward. And Elliot was now part of that path.

Although Zero initially viewed Elliot as an extraordinary scientific anomaly, their relationship gradually became much deeper. Zero came to genuinely care about him and eventually began viewing Elliot almost as a son. This created a conflict within Zero. He genuinely wanted to protect Elliot. But he also knew that Elliot could be the most important piece of his plan to defeat The Watcher. Zero, therefore, has to play his cards carefully. He cannot simply tell Elliot everything. He cannot risk allowing The Watcher to discover what he is doing. And he cannot allow his personal feelings to destroy the only opportunity he may ever have to achieve revenge.

He only intervenes when an unexpected opportunity arises or when he believes his actions can genuinely change the outcome. His primary focus remains The Watcher. For years, Zero has studied everything he can about his enemy, searching for patterns, weaknesses, limitations, and anything else that could eventually give him an advantage.

His relationship with Gayifier is the most significant exception to his otherwise detached existence. Zero genuinely cares about Gayifier and views him as a son. At the same time, Zero knows that Gayifier's unique DNA and enhanced abilities may be the key to finally defeating The Watcher.
