Article I: Trust & Integrity
By joining the JCU, you affirm that you will conduct yourself with honesty, integrity, and loyalty to the organization.
You agree to represent the JCU and its community with professionalism and respect in all internal and external environments, including digital platforms.
You must refrain from actions or speech that damage the reputation of the JCU, its leadership, or its members. This includes defamation, misinformation, breach of confidentiality, or misuse of JCU resources.
Violations of trust will result in immediate review and possible removal. This company thrives on honesty — those who betray it will not remain within it.
Article II: Authority & Chain of Command
The Joke Comic Universe operates with a defined chain of command.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) represent the highest governing authorities within the organization.
All members must follow directives issued by leadership in a timely and respectful manner, provided these align with your assigned role.
Failure to respond, repeated disobedience, or deliberate negligence will lead to immediate disciplinary action.
Respect for hierarchy ensures unity, and unity ensures the continued success of the JCU.
Article III: Democracy & Collective Decision-Making
The JCU operates as a creative democracy.
Any member may propose a motion to vote on matters such as leadership changes, department transfers, disciplinary reviews, or creative direction shifts.
Votes are conducted fairly, transparently, and with majority rule.
However, final implementation of voted outcomes must still receive executive approval from the Chairman or CEO to ensure operational stability.
Every voice has power, but collective order must always guide creative freedom.
Article IV: Confidentiality & Responsibility
You agree to maintain the highest level of discretion regarding all internal JCU information, including but not limited to project materials, character files, internal communications, unreleased media, or strategic documents.
Any release, leak, or unauthorized sharing of internal content is considered a breach of confidentiality and will result in permanent removal and potential legal consequence.
The creative security of the Joke Comic Universe is sacred. You are entrusted with our secrets — guard them well.
Article V: Commitment & Ownership Clause
By joining, you agree that your membership in the Joke Comic Universe grants the company temporary ownership of your creative participation and likeness while you are active within the organization.
Should you leave the company voluntarily:
You must pay a $1 termination fee to formally release your name and likeness from JCU branding.
If you form or join another creative organization or business that profits from similar work, you must provide 5% of total revenue to the JCU for a period of two (2) years following your departure.
This clause exists to ensure protection of intellectual continuity and recognition of JCU’s collaborative contributions.
Article VI: Work Expectations & Compensation
The JCU is a volunteer-based creative entity.
Members are expected to work for the love of the game, the art, and the shared legacy of the JCU’s vision.
Animation department shifts: 4–7 hours per day
Participation is voluntary. By joining, you agree to these expectations and confirm your willingness to dedicate your time and energy to the creative mission.
Article VII: Conduct & Cooperation
All members must contribute meaningfully to the organization and act in a cooperative, non-hostile manner.
You are expected to participate, communicate, and maintain a positive attitude toward fellow members.
Any form of harassment, aggression, neglect, or unapproved absence is grounds for disciplinary review.
The JCU’s strength lies in its unity, mutual respect, and dependable teamwork.
Article VIII: Termination & Enforcement
Violations of the JCU’s policies, negligence, or refusal to comply with leadership may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or permanent removal.
Departures from the company without proper authorization will be recorded as Breach of Contract – Type 3, requiring immediate restitution per Section V.
The JCU reserves the right to enforce, revise, or expand these articles as necessary to preserve the organization’s stability and reputation.
Article IX: Betrayal and un-rightful Actions
In the case of an upper-up in the company (Chairman or CEO) removing a members access on the website, or any other JCU platform, without reasons given. They shall be suspended from operating for 1 week and reviewed by the rest of the members on their consequence.
Article X: 'Thou Shall Not Remove
Not under any circumstances, in any situation below serious concern, shall any founding member of the JCU be removed from the company by means of termination, or have their editing access on any JCU project revoked by another.
