The Gayifier War was a twelve-day multiversal conflict that took place between June 1 and June 12, 2040, and is regarded as one of the deadliest crises in the history of Reality-0 prior to the events of the War of All. The conflict began when The Watcher recruited and coerced numerous alternate-universe versions of Gayifier into invading Reality-0 Earth in an attempt to spread destruction, weaken Earth's superhero organizations, and test the defensive capabilities of humanity before his long-term plans.
Unable to physically enter Reality-0 due to the ancient mystical seal placed upon him, The Watcher instead manipulated events from beyond reality. Traveling across the multiverse, he sought out alternate versions of Gayifier, offering to solve each of their greatest personal problems if they agreed to invade Reality-0. Those who refused were threatened with the complete annihilation of their home realities and the execution of everyone they loved before their eyes. While several accepted out of fear, many of the recruited variants were already evil or morally corrupt and willingly embraced the opportunity.
Among the twenty-four known invading variants were:
Straightifier – A version of Gayifier who was heterosexual. He had no desire to participate in the invasion and only accepted to save his reality from destruction.
Homofier – A psychopathic, bloodthirsty version born completely without empathy or remorse. He enthusiastically accepted The Watcher's proposal simply because it gave him new victims to slaughter.
Transifier – A version of Gayifier who was born female before transitioning to male. He was deeply reluctant to join the invasion but ultimately complied after The Watcher threatened his entire universe.
Eyeifier – A version raised from childhood within the Eternal Eye cult in Reality-986. Having been indoctrinated to worship The Watcher as a god, he accepted the mission without hesitation, believing it to be a divine command.
Alongside them were twenty additional Gayifier variants from other realities, many possessing unique personalities, abilities, and moral alignments.
On the morning of June 1, 2040, dozens of enormous multiversal portals simultaneously opened above New York City. The recruited variants emerged together, many meeting one another for the first time.
The atmosphere among the invaders was tense. Straightifier clearly wished he were anywhere else, while Transifier intentionally kept his distance from the others. Homofier, meanwhile, stood silently smiling, staring at the other variants with disturbing excitement, unsettling even those who had agreed to participate. Eyeifier remained disciplined and focused, awaiting orders from the being he considered his creator.
Moments later, a massive portal opened overhead. The Watcher appeared only as a projection, unable to cross into Reality-0 himself. He gave a single command:
"Go and bring chaos."
The portal immediately closed.
Watching through his supernatural vision from beyond Reality-0, The Watcher observed the destruction unfold exactly as planned.
The invading variants rapidly spread across Earth, attacking major cities, military installations, and superhero headquarters. Their coordinated assault overwhelmed local authorities, resulting in widespread civilian casualties and catastrophic infrastructure damage within the first hours.
Approximately ten minutes after the attacks began, the Joke Comic League (JCL) and numerous allied superhero organizations confirmed that Earth was under a multiversal invasion.
At nearly the same time, Mr. Zero realized what had happened. His anti-Watcher detection systems alerted him to abnormal multiversal activity, allowing him to determine that The Watcher had recruited alternate versions of Gayifier. He immediately informed Gayifier, who entered the conflict and began hunting the variants one by one.
Unlike his counterparts, Gayifier possessed significantly greater power due to his rare genetic variation, making him stronger than every invading variant individually. However, fighting dozens of versions of himself simultaneously proved to be one of the greatest challenges of his life.
One of the most significant battles occurred on June 4, when several Gayifier variants launched a coordinated assault against JCL Headquarters.
The facility's Division Bravo soldiers mounted a desperate defense, buying valuable time despite suffering devastating casualties. Many soldiers sacrificed their lives protecting evacuation routes and preventing the attackers from reaching critical command systems.
As the battle intensified, Jewman arrived alongside the other members of the Joke Comic League. Recognizing that the soldiers had done everything possible, Jewman ordered the complete evacuation of all surviving Division Bravo personnel so the League could confront the invading variants directly.
The battle ultimately prevented the destruction of JCL Headquarters, though the facility suffered extensive damage and Division Bravo experienced one of the highest casualty rates in its history.
Among all the invaders, Homofier became the most feared.
Unlike the other variants, he had no strategic objective beyond killing as many people as possible. He viewed the invasion as entertainment, massacring civilians, heroes, and soldiers alike with relentless enthusiasm. His constant grin and complete lack of emotion earned him a terrifying reputation across the world.
By the time he was finally confronted, Homofier had personally killed thousands of people, making him one of the deadliest individual superhumans.
On June 10, Gayifier engaged Homofier in a prolonged battle that ultimately ended with Homofier's death after one of the fiercest fights of the entire war.
Although the invasion appeared to be a simple act of destruction, it served a larger purpose.
The Watcher intentionally ordered his own Eternal Eye cultists already living within Reality-0 to avoid engaging the Gayifier variants. He had no intention of sacrificing his loyal followers, preserving them for his far greater campaign planned for 2048 during the War of All.
To The Watcher, the Gayifier War functioned as both a distraction and a large-scale test of Earth's defenses. Every destroyed city, fallen hero, and weakened organization made Reality-0 more vulnerable for the future conflict he truly cared about.
Over the following days, the invading variants were systematically defeated by Gayifier, the JCL, allied hero organizations, and surviving military forces.
By June 12, 2040, nearly every invading variant had been killed.
The sole exception was Transifier.
Throughout the conflict, Transifier repeatedly showed reluctance to fight and avoided unnecessary killing whenever possible. Recognizing that he had only participated under threat of his universe's destruction, Gayifier and the JCL chose to spare his life.
After the war, a portal returned Transifier to The Watcher.
Although visibly irritated that one of his recruits had survived, The Watcher ultimately allowed Transifier to return safely to his own reality. In The Watcher's view, Transifier had fulfilled his assigned mission by helping create sufficient chaos and destruction. Keeping his word, The Watcher spared Transifier's universe from annihilation.
The Gayifier War left Earth permanently scarred.
Entire city districts required years of reconstruction, countless civilians had been killed or injured, and several hero organizations ceased to exist after suffering irreversible losses. Thousands of military personnel, including many members of Division Bravo, died defending population centers and superhero facilities.
Although Reality-0 ultimately repelled the invasion, the conflict demonstrated that The Watcher could devastate Earth without ever entering the universe himself. The Gayifier War was less of an invasion—but a preview of the far greater catastrophe that would arrive eight years later during the War of All.
The conflict remains remembered as one of the darkest chapters in the history of the Joke Comic Universe, marking the first time Earth faced a coordinated assault by dozens of alternate versions of one of its own greatest heroes.
