Gregory Williams
catch-phrase: I won't let anything happen to my friends, not again.
catch-phrase: I won't let anything happen to my friends, not again.
Gregory Williams joined Division Bravo in 2006 alongside his closest friend, Jeff, quickly becoming known less for discipline and more for the constant sound of crinkling wrappers and offbeat humor. Despite his odd habits, Greg proved himself reliable in the field, forming a tight-knit bond with Jeff, Sharon, and later Fred.
Everything changed in 2012 during one of the largest and most devastating battles the Joke Comic League had ever faced. Division Bravo experienced thousands of casualties. Greg watched Sharon get impaled and slowly bleed out, staying by his side alongside Jeff as she died. An hour later, Jeff sacrificed himself, holding off the enemy long enough for Greg to escapeādying in Gregās arms. Fred was also killed in the chaos, dying from a stab wound to the thigh.
Greg was one of the only survivors.
He attended all their funerals, standing among the fallen soldiers of Division Bravo, surrounded by silence instead of laughter. That day, something in him hardened. Greg made a vow: no more. No more losing the people he cared about. No more being the guy who survives while everyone else dies.
From that moment forward, he dedicated himself to becoming one of Division Bravoās strongest and most dependable soldiers.
š§ PERSONALITY
Greg is still, at his core, the same goofy, food-obsessed guyābut now thereās a clear divide between who he was before 2012 and who he is after. His humor remains, but it often feels like a shield, something he uses to keep others smiling so they donāt feel what he felt that day.
He is deeply loyal, almost to a fault. If someone becomes his friend, Greg will go to extreme lengths to protect them, sometimes putting himself in reckless danger just to make sure they survive. Beneath his lighthearted exterior is a quiet fear of loss that never fully goes away.
He can be oblivious in casual situations, missing social cues or focusing too much on food or routine, but when things get serious, Greg locks in. His kindness is genuine, his empathy is strong, and he carries the memories of Jeff, Sharon, and Fred with him at all times.
Despite everything, he refuses to become cold. He chooses to stay warm, to stay humanābecause thatās what they wouldāve wanted.
Greg has trained relentlessly since 2012, pushing himself to become one of Division Bravoās elite members. While he still lacks the years of refined experience some veterans have, his raw determination and physical capability make him extremely effective in combat.
He specializes in close-quarters combat and fast-paced engagements, often charging into fights with surprising speed and strength. His body has an unusual trait: despite consuming massive amounts of food daily and only lightly training, he maintains peak physical condition. This gives him high stamina, strong durability, and sustained energy during long missions.
Greg is also highly adaptable. While he may not plan like a tactician, he reacts quickly, follows orders well, and excels at protecting teammates in chaotic environments.
Unknown Metabolic Anomaly: Gregās body processes food in a way that remains unexplained. No matter how much he eatsāoften thousands of dollarsā worth of food dailyāhe gains very little fat while maintaining strong muscle performance and energy output. The exact source of this is unknown, even to JCL analysts.
Emotional Drive: Gregās promise to never lose another friend acts as a psychological boost. In high-stress situations, especially when allies are in danger, he pushes beyond normal limits, increasing his endurance and aggression in combat.
Gregās greatest weakness is his fear of losing others again. This often causes him to act impulsively, throwing himself into danger without thinking strategically. He struggles with survivorās guilt from 2012, which can weigh on him mentally during quiet moments.
His lack of refined experience compared to top-tier veterans means he can sometimes be outmaneuvered by more tactical opponents. Additionally, his reliance on routineāespecially around foodācan make him predictable outside of combat.

Backstory: the man who was responsible for the deaths of Greg's friends and countless other Division Bravo soldiers.
š RELATIONSHIP STATUS
Greg is technically single, but he has been unknowingly growing closer to Captain Charlotte Weiss. His natural goofiness, warmth, and authenticity slowly break through her hardened exterior. While Greg doesnāt realize it, his presence gives Charlotte a sense of comfort and normalcy she rarely allows herself to feel.
Gregory Williams now serves as one of Division Bravoās elite operatives under Captain Charlotte Weiss. He is often deployed in high-risk missions where endurance, loyalty, and frontline resilience are critical.
Among the team, Greg is still seen as the āguy with snacks,ā but that reputation now carries respect. Heās no longer just comic reliefāheās a survivor, a protector, and someone others trust to have their back when things go wrong.
To newer recruits, heās approachable and friendly.
To veterans, heās proof that someone can endure unimaginable loss and still keep going.
And to himself, every mission is a promise kept:
No one else dies if he can help it.
