George Christopher King, usually listed in results by his second name, rode ten winners over jumps between 1922 and 1926.

It was the seven-year-old Frizbury who got him off the mark, winning the Trent Selling Handicap Hurdle at Nottingham by four lengths on December 11, 1922. Frizbury did not win at all the following year but came back to form in February 1924, adding two more victories with Christopher on board.

Christopher recorded five wins in 1925, including a double at Market Rasen, and rode his tenth and final winner at Manchester on New Year’s Day 1926, when Cylmint took the Castle Selling Handicap Hurdle. The winner was owned and trained, like most of his other winners, by Oswald Mosley, who had his licence withdrawn later in the season. It is likely that Cylmint was Christopher’s last ride under National Hunt rules.

Christopher King’s winners were, in chronological order:

1. Frizbury, Nottingham, December 11, 1922

2. Frizbury, Ludlow, February 6, 1924

3. Frizbury, Sedgefield, February 19, 1924
