"For God, the One who commanded the darkness to shine with light, has shone in our hearts to dazzle us with the brightness of knowing God's glory in the face of Christ."
(2 Cor 4: 6)
Jesus, before Your Face I bend my knees,
that I may immerse my greatness in Your humility.
Jesus, before Your Face I bend my knees,
that I would be free not to go with the current.
Jesus, look at me
I humbly ask you
let your gaze lead me deeper and farther where time reveals
eternity.
Jesus, look at me and help me,
that I may hear Your Light.
Jesus, let your Face be between me and what I do not see yet.
Jesus, let your Face be between me and what I feel.
Where life becomes an emotion in me, let prayer fill every cell of my thoughts with oxygen of Your Presence;
May prayer fuel faith that I do not have yet with oxygen of Your Life.
Jesus, look at me and my life
and I humbly ask
teach me to fight in which sin loses.
"command my darkness to shine with Your Light; let me know You in Your Light. Shine in my" I am "and speak to me, Jesus, that there is a place in me for the icon of Your Face;
let your Light shine within the history of my life with the brightness of knowledge,
that God is love (1 John 4:16)
and let the time of my life be measured by the cry of the prayer of Saint Francis in tears:
"that the Love to be loved" now and forever.
God my only Love.
