Athletics Team

The Athletics Team strives to develop Cadets physically. The challenging after school workouts come from the top Athletic training regiments to include the U.S. Navy SEALs, the United States Marine Corps, Crossfit, Yoga and several other proven high intensity work programs. The Team works out three times a week after school and competes in Athletic Competitions -that consist of push ups, curl ups, relay races, shuttle relays, and other fun athletic exercises- on several weekends throughout the year.
Curl Ups
Exercise Position: knees bent, feet flat, arms crossed across chest, hands on shoulders, elbiws must stay against body.
Exercise execution: Starting from the down position, sit up until elbows contact thighs, return to start position, back touching ground
Must rest in the up position
Push Ups
Exercise Position: Feet and legs together, hands shoulder width apart, back straight
Exercise Execution: Starting from the up position, lower body until elbows are at a 90 degree angle and upper arms are parallel to the ground, return to start position with elbows locked arms straight
2 Relays, 16 x 100 & 16 x 200
Teams must consist of 8 males and 8 females, arranged in any running order
Utilizes a baton hand off.
