• Primary Duties: 

  • Ensure Unit members understand the role of the Operations Department.

  • Train Team Commanders in the responsibilities as they pertain to the Ops Dept. This includes:

    • Prior coordination with Ops regarding 5W's:

      • Event Date

      • Event requirements

      • Sign-up sheets

      • Blue Muster Sheets 

• Secondary: 

  • Ensure familiarity with trip requirements (mandatory and recommended gear), especially for drill, color guard, and athletic teams 

  • Assist Unit Staff with special projects, to include AMI, field trips, parades, etc.

• Training: 

  • Responsible for training Ops Chief and LPO's in the required skills and tasks to maintain an efficient functioning OPS Department.

• Primary: 

  • Develop leadership skills by assisting Officer in executing the duties of the Ops Department:

    • Ensuring Deputy Team Commanders understand how the Ops Department supports their events

    • Weekly updates to the Classroom Calendar(s) to reflect the Unit Calendar on the website

• Secondary: 

  • Carry out tasking from SNSI/NSI, Senior Staff and OPS Officer.

• Training: 

  • Train Ops LPO's in the required skills and tasks to maintain an efficient OPS Dept

    • Calendar Updates

    • Team and Field Trip requirements 

• Primary: 

  • Learn the skills required to be a contributing member of the OPS Department from the Chief.

• Secondary: Carry out tasking from the SNSI/NSI, OPS Officer and OPS Chief.
