TCDR and DCDR Roles and Responsibilities
The roles of the Team commander are:
Organize practices, postals, and team meets, with regards to the academics team
Develop academics tests for the team
Develop unit wide academics test when needed or applicable
Give performance reports to chain of command based on the status of the department and performance of team
Track, store, and analyze team data, from current and previous years
Actively train Deputy Commander or an upcoming position holder, in order to have a smooth and efficient change of command in the department
Delegate proper levels of assignments to Deputy Commander and fellow team members
Actively train the team in order to prepare for upcoming competitions
The roles of the Deputy commander are:
Perform the duties of the Team commander in cases of absence
Aid in organizing team events/practices
Perform tasks delegated to them by Team Commander
Aid in analyzing team data
Develop academics quizzes for the team
Occasionally give/host a team practice with aid from Team commander
Rules & Expectations:
Attendance:
everyone must be at practice before the designated start time
You must notify the TCDR and DCDR 24 hours before practice to be excused (unless in case of emergency)
If you miss practice you will be expected to review and material/info the TCDR/DCDR sends you
3 unexcused absences and you will be removed
Requirements:
All cadets must be able to pass the Bi-Annual Physical Test properly (unless waivered by the TCDR)
All cadets must receive an 85% or higher on their inspection grades
General team rules:
Cadets will be assigned a rifle, sling, and pole by the TCDR/DCDR. Cadets are not allowed to simply grab equipment unless they are given specific orders to do so
Only the TCDR/DCDR will teach at practice, unless a certain cadet is designated otherwise
All cadets regardless of rank must follow the team chain of command, (Cadet to DCDR, DCDR to TCDR, TCDR to SNSI)
There should be no unauthorized planning of events or organization of events that have not been approved
Practice/Performance rules:
No crude language, or language deemed inappropriate
No disrespecting any of your fellow cadets
Always address a fellow cadet in a proper/uniform manner
Always uphold yourself to a high standard and act in a manner that is professional
When at practice/an event, dress in a way that makes yourself presentable
Absolutely no disrespect towards the colors carried or what they represent will be tolerated
When at practice if you need something restated or have a question, make sure to ask appropriately
Remember to always count when practicing
At practice you will be expected to show up in either your NSU or SDB, unless directed otherwise
