University Pre-Career Education

Quote: "Most worlds have one or more universities within their major settlements but even citizens of the most remote system can engage in university education through the use of computer networks and interstellar communications. A university education will channel a character’s efforts into a narrow range of skills but there are few other ways to become more skilful within them so quickly."

Entry:

  • Term Three or less

  • EDU 7+ check

    • if SOC 9+, DM+1

    • if in Term Two, DM-1

    • if in Term Three, DM-2

Duration:

  • normal Term duration

Graduation:

  • INT 7+ check

    • on 11+, graduation with Honors

Entry Benefits:

  • EDU +1

  • Gain 1 skill at level 1 and 1 skill at level 0 from the following list:

    • Admin

    • Advocate

    • Animals (training or veterinary)

    • Art (any)

    • Astrogation

    • Electronics (any)

    • Engineer (any)

    • Language (any)

    • Medic

    • Navigation

    • Profession (any

    • Science (any)

Graduation Benefits:

  • EDU +2

  • Increase skills chosen at entry to level 2 and level 1 respectively

  • DM+1 (DM+2 if graduated with Honors) to qualify for the Careers:

    • Agent

    • Army

    • Citizen (corporate)

    • Entertainer (journalist)

    • Marines

    • Navy

    • Scholar

    • Scouts

  • If the first career chosen after University is military:

    • Commission roll can be taken during this education Term

    • If graduated with Honors: DM+2 granted to Commission roll
