Began publishing in 1902. According to Ayer, 1903, the newspaper is Democratic, weekly, and its editor was B.W. Adkins.
Now known as the Mitchell County Enterprise-Journal, the paper continues to serve as Mitchell County's paper of record.

According to Ayer, 1903, Camilla had a population of 1051, "Plant System R.R., Tel, Exp, Bank, An agricultural district, producing cotton, sugar cane, the cereals, melons, fruit, hops and cattle, Lumber and naval stores produced."
