Newspaper
April 1908: Judge J. B. Smith and Alden Roberts establish the eight-page Sunday Dispatch.
Ayer and Son's Newspaper Directory, 1918: Now known as the Cordele Dispatch, editor-in-chief Charles E. Brown and the Dispatch Publishing Company expand their newspaper with daily circulation.
The Dispatch served as Crisp County's legal organ, a role which it continues today.
