Pax means peace in Latin. Pax lives up to his name. As in many stories and real life, dogs and cats are often dropped off in the wilderness. But, for a change, a pet fox has been dropped off in a forest. Peter, his owner, can’t bear living without his pet fox. Peter has no mother. As soon as his father leaves home to work in the army, he leaves his grandpa in search of his beloved fox. Meanwhile, Pax tries to cope with his new surroundings. The foxes around him don’t trust him, and he has to win their trust to live in the wild. What will each of them do? The rest of the story involves how Pax and Peter struggle to find each other. But, it doesn’t end like it usually does: The two friends meet and just walk home. The real ending is very shocking.
