EAGLES ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES

SOUTHERN DOOR HIGH SCHOOL

Wednesday, May 8, 2024

Members present: Tonya DeBroux, Megan Delfosse, Stacie Jacquet, Tina Nellis, Robin Plzak, Erin Hoffman, Jenny Jandrin, Ari Counard, Amy Everard, Tracie Cochart, Michelle Schinktgen and Holly Malvitz

Also present: Steve Bousley and Ben Kline.

1. Meeting called to order by Tracie at 6:18 pm.

2. Talon Fitness Update-Steve gave an update on where they were at with the fitness center. Looking at mid-July for the new equipment to be delivered. Fundraising efforts will not stop as they are still in need. Steve indicated Arvid Anderson would be working on the color scheme on the inside and would possibly reach out to Rob Soukup. Steve is going to reach out to Polly to see about obtaining funds. Looking to have a grand opening in September.

3. Athletic Director Updates- New girls basketball coach hired. Athletic Code meeting scheduled for August 1, 2024. Ben discussed Tim Pflieger from the Door County Leadership Center coming in to work with the coaches to help build a strong culture/unified message. Discussion about getting more students to learn the scoreboard in the Eagle Gym and discussion about needing new scoreboards for football and baseball fields.

4. Grants- What exactly are our guidelines when in comes to requests (JV/Varsity)? Tina thought Mary Jackson would be requesting a grant for cross-country warm-ups.

5. Other-

·         Motion by Holly, seconded by Michelle to donate $100 to Bella Price and Sophia Counard for the All-Start Softball Game. All in favor, motion carried.

·         Work with school on getting student athlete accolades added to the school website.

·         Jenny discussed applying for a small business grant through Amazon.

·         Coaches gifts.

·         Need to find someone to take over the Pepsi ordering. Holly will reach out to Sarah Soukup.

·         Concession discussion-getting our burgers from Jandrin’s for baseball/softball.

8. Next Meeting Date – August 14, 2024.

9. Treasurer’s Report- Read by Jenny.

10. Adjourn –Motion to adjourn at 8:20 pm made by Megan, and seconded by Tina. All in favor, motion carried.
