Trạng từ chỉ tần suất là một loại trạng từ trong tiếng Anh. Chúng ta hay dùng trạng từ tần suất khi muốn biểu đạt hay mô tả về mức độ thường xuyên của một hành động nào đó. Trạng từ tần suất thường xuất hiện trong thì hiện tại đơn để diễn tả các hành động mang tính lặp đi lặp lại. 

2. Notes (Chú ý)

Trạng từ tần suất sử dụng trong câu trả lời của câu hỏi “How often” (Có…thường?)

• Vị trí của các trạng từ chỉ tần suất trong câu tiếng Anh 

Thông thường, trạng từ tần suất thường xuất hiện ở 3 vị trí: trước động từ thường, sau trợ động từ, và sau động từ “to-be”.

Hầu hết các trạng từ tần suất (trừ always, hardly, ever và never) có thể xuất hiện ở đầu câu hoặc cuối câu. Nếu đứng đầu câu sẽ được dùng với mục đích nhấn mạnh.

• Khi câu có trợ động từ, trạng từ tần suất thường đi sau động từ trừ trường hợp cần nhấn mạnh và câu trả lời ngắn.

Các động từ DO, DOES và DID đóng vai trò là trợ động từ khi được dùng trong câu hỏi và phủ định

Trong câu nghi vấn, trạng từ chỉ tần suất thường đứng trước động từ chính. 

• Adverbs of frequency include: always, constantly, continually, frequently, infrequently, intermittently, normally, occasionally, often, periodically, rarely, regularly, seldom, sometimes, etc.

• I always do my homework on time. 

In this sentence always shows us the frequency (how often) I do my homework on time.

• She goes out occasionally. 

In this sentence occasionally shows us the frequency (how often) she goes out.
