Daniell Jiménez Báez, 26, is a dedicated community development professional currently serving as a VISTA Leader at Techos Pa' Mi Gente, a nonprofit focused on rebuilding roofs damaged by natural disasters and equipping communities with the tools, knowledge, and skills to build long-term resilience. His involvement with the organization began in 2019 as a volunteer, where working hands-on in reconstruction sparked his passion for community development and disaster recovery.
Since then, Daniell has taken on increasingly impactful roles, dedicating his career to creating meaningful change through innovative strategies that empower individuals and strengthen communities. In 2021, he led a self-sustainable agriculture project, establishing a community garden, conducting educational workshops, and forging partnerships with local organizations to promote food security and sustainability.
In his current role, Daniell leads and mentors a team of 10 AmeriCorps VISTA members, providing strategic guidance, professional development, and operational support to enhance the impact of their initiatives. He focuses on optimizing project processes, fostering collaboration, and using data-driven insights to assess program effectiveness.
Daniell holds a Technical Certificate in Electricity with Renewable Energy and is finalizing a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Agriculture.
