As Bureau VIDS Director, Ms. France leads the association’s efforts to promote and defend the rights of Indigenous Peoples, to speak for Indigenous Peoples on the national and international levels, and to support sustainable development in Suriname. She supports the VIDS board in formulating policy by monitoring and analyzing social and/or political trends and advising the board on relevant matters. She also builds and maintains extranational, functional, and support networks with donors, government, civil society and other relevant organizations to promote the policies and activities of VIDS.
