Drop Spins

Every guard person knows drop spins! It is the most basic spin exercise and the best way to bring the concept of the entire guard matching check points together.

Make sure you have Drop Spins mastered on both the left and right sides!

The following exercise breaks down Drop Spins slowly to help the beginning guard member understand the checkpoints before drop spinning at full speed.

You will begin by holding each check point for 4 counts, then 2 counts, and then finally do full speed drop spins, one count each.

When you get really good at Drop Spins, try to do 100 in a row!

Don't forget to try it on the left side!
